What Happens After Your Wedding? From the Last Photograph to Your Finished Gallery

You've spent months planning your wedding.

You've chosen the venue.

Found the dress.

Booked the celebrant.

Organised the flowers.

Chosen your photographer.

And finally, the big day arrives.

Then suddenly it's over.

You're married.

The champagne is finished.

Everyone has gone home.

And now you're probably wondering:

“When do we get to see our photographs?”

Here's what happens next.

First: We Back Everything Up

Your wedding photographs are important.

Very important.

As soon as possible after the wedding, the images are safely backed up.

It's one of the least glamorous parts of wedding photography, but it's one of the most important.

Then Comes the Selection

A wedding can produce thousands of photographs.

That doesn't mean you need thousands of nearly identical photographs.

We carefully work through the images and select the photographs that best tell the story of your day.

The emotional moments.

The laughter.

The details.

The people.

The portraits.

The unexpected moments.

The photographs that make you stop and smile.

Then Comes the Editing

This is where your photographs really begin to come together.

Each selected photograph is carefully processed and edited.

Exposure is adjusted.

Colour is refined.

Images are balanced.

Black and white photographs are created where appropriate.

The goal isn't to make your wedding look artificial.

It's to make the photographs look beautiful, natural and consistent.

Why Does It Take Time?

You might wonder why you don't simply receive all the photographs straight out of the camera.

Because the photographs you're receiving aren't just camera files.

They're finished images.

Every wedding deserves attention.

We don't believe in simply pressing "export" and sending you a folder full of unprocessed photographs.

Your Online Gallery

Once your photographs are ready, they're uploaded into your private online gallery.

You'll be able to view your wedding photographs and download images.

And then comes the fun part.

You get to relive your wedding.

And Suddenly You're Back There

This is one of the things I love about wedding photography.

A photograph can take you somewhere instantly.

You see your dad's expression.

You remember what your partner whispered.

You see a friend who you hadn't realised was watching.

You notice something happening in the background that you completely missed on the day.

That's why wedding photography matters.

It's not simply about having photographs.

It's about remembering how it felt.

How Long Will You Have to Wait?

At All Saints Photography, we aim to have your completed wedding gallery ready within approximately 7–14 days.

We know couples are excited to see their photographs.

And honestly, we're excited for you to see them too.

We don't think you should have to wait months and months before you can relive your wedding.

This is not a part time job or a hobby to earn a few extra dollars for us so we give your wedding the time it deserves. Having a computer system and workflow designed for speed, colour accuracy and quality is a must. No you will not find me sitting at a coffee shop editing your wedding on an old laptop.

Yes our studio is only open by appointment but our office is working generally 10 hours a day making sure your wedding is delivered on time and correspondence is answered when you need to know answers, not in a couple of weeks.  During those busier times rather than extending your wait times, we will work longer days to get through the work load.

All Saints' Photography has been operating as a full time photography studio at the same location for the last 25+ years.

Your Photographs Become Part of Your Family Story

Years from now, you'll look back at your wedding photographs differently.

You'll notice people who aren't with you anymore.

You'll see how young everyone looked.

You'll remember grandparents, parents, friends and family.

And eventually, perhaps your children will look through those same photographs.

That's the real value of wedding photography.

It's not just about today.

It's about the years that follow.

The Wedding Ends. The Memories Don't.

Your wedding day will probably go faster than you expect.

That's why choosing a photographer you trust is so important.

The flowers will eventually disappear.

The cake will be eaten.

The music will stop.

The decorations will come down.

But your photographs remain.

They become your visual record of one of the most important days of your life.

And that's something worth investing in.
