Maddison & Nicholas | A Beautiful Wagga Wagga Wedding
Some wedding days are all about the grand plans, while others are about something much simpler — bringing together the people you love, getting married, and having a fantastic time celebrating afterwards.
Maddison and Nicholas' wedding day in Wagga Wagga was a beautiful combination of both, with a stunning cathedral ceremony, a relaxed reception and plenty of wonderful moments throughout the day.
Getting Ready
The excitement of the wedding day began with Maddison getting ready, surrounded by all the anticipation that comes with knowing that today is the day.
Her hair was styled by Hair by Ashleigh McArthur, with Makeup by Hannah Spackman completing her look. Her beautiful dress from Heartland Brides and shoes from Myer brought everything together perfectly.
Nicholas and the boys were getting ready too, dressed in suits from Connor, ready for the moment when the day's celebrations would officially begin.
A Beautiful Ceremony at St Michael's Cathedral
Maddison and Nicholas chose the magnificent St Michael's Cathedral in Wagga Wagga for their wedding ceremony.
With Fr Neil officiating, the cathedral provided a beautiful and meaningful setting for them to make their vows and officially become husband and wife.
For me, photographing a wedding ceremony is about much more than simply recording the formal moments. It's about watching the reactions — the smiles, the nerves, the laughter, the glances between a couple and their families, and those fleeting expressions that can so easily be missed.
These are the moments that help tell the real story of a wedding day.
Celebrating at Wagga RSL
After the ceremony, it was time to celebrate!
The reception at Wagga RSL gave Maddison and Nicholas the perfect place to relax with family and friends, enjoy some great food and let the celebrations really begin.
The catering was provided by Wagga RSL, while DJ JL the Barber kept the music and entertainment going throughout the evening.
The Little Moments Matter
One of my favourite things about photographing weddings is that the photographs aren't just about the obvious moments.
Yes, we want the beautiful portraits, the family photographs and the big moments of the ceremony and reception. But years from now, it can be the little things that bring the strongest memories back — a particular laugh, a hug from a parent, friends dancing, a quiet moment between the newlyweds or something completely unexpected that happened during the day.
That's why I photograph weddings with the intention of telling the whole story.
Maddison and Nicholas' wedding was full of those moments — from the excitement of getting ready, through the beautiful ceremony at St Michael's Cathedral, right through to the celebrations at Wagga RSL.

As the photographer, I was there to capture the day as naturally as possible, while also making sure Maddison and Nicholas had beautiful photographs of the people and moments that mattered most to them.
